Recently Dr. Sabrena Noria, Surgical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Ohio State University’s (OSU) Wexner Medical Center, shared insights on how her center uses digital care journeys (SeamlessMD) to engage and track patients from referral through surgery - which has helped OSU reduce time to surgery by 1.5 months already.

The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) recently released data showing how provinces were performing on wait times for surgery in 2023. Of particular importance to the country has been cutting wait times and the backlog for Hip and Knee replacements since the pandemic. The KPI that CIHI uses is the % of joint replacement surgeries performed within the recommended wait time of 26 weeks (182 days).

Nora has lived with Crohn’s disease for the last almost 50 years of her life.
