Product Demo: Digital Care Journey for Maternity Care

July 7, 2025
By
Seamless

Each week, SeamlessMD is highlighting how our platform supports patients and care teams for specific surgical procedures or health conditions.

Our solution uses a patient’s own smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer to guide them with health system-specific, step-by-step guidance via reminders, education and symptom monitoring.

This week’s spotlight: Maternity Care.

Highlights from the Maternity care journey demo

Prenatal Support & Education

  • Weekly updates on fetal development and trimester-specific guidance
  • Daily checklists for self-care: prenatal vitamins, healthy eating, hydration, and safe exercise
  • Timely reminders for prenatal appointments and lab tests

Personalized Content for High-Risk Pregnancies

  • Tailored education and tracking for conditions like preeclampsia
  • Blood pressure monitoring with patient-specific thresholds and instructions
  • Dynamic to-do lists that adjust based on gestational age and patient needs

Interactive Learning & Birth Preparation

  • Visuals on labor, delivery, and hospital expectations (vaginal vs. C-section)
  • Clear, evidence-based instructions for preparing for childbirth and hospital stay
  • Resources for perinatal care, postpartum recovery, and newborn care

Daily Postpartum Symptom & Health Status Tracking

  • Six weeks of daily symptom & health status tracking after delivery (e.g. pain, bleeding, wound healing, breastfeeding issues, and more)
  • Questions adjust dynamically based on delivery type and patient responses

Intelligent Alerts & Recommendations

  • Automated recommendations for when to seek care or call the care team
  • Escalation workflows to care team for serious issues like signs of infection or high blood pressure
  • Self-care tips for common concerns such as constipation, hemorrhoids, and latch problems

Why It Matters

Pregnancy and postpartum recovery are deeply personal and medically complex. Patients face information overload and often forget verbal instructions given during appointments. With  SeamlessMD, patients receive step-by-step guidance throughout pregnancy and recovery - while providers gain real-time insights into symptom trends and patient concerns. This digital support ensures that every patient feels empowered, informed, and cared for at each stage of the maternity journey.
