Canada’s largest cardiac centre, the Montreal Heart Institute, partners with SeamlessMD to improve patient outcomes for cardiac surgery

Montreal, Quebec– May 31, 2017 – The Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) has selectedSeamlessMD’s enterprise platform for patient engagement and care management toreinforce its position as an industry leader for cardiac surgery, focused on safer recoveryand higher patient satisfaction. MHI is consistently ranked as one of the top cardiaccenters in the world, and is Canada’s largest cardiac centre, performing over 1,900 cardiacsurgeries annually.Over the last year, MHI’s surgical team has helped develop new cardiac protocols toimprove the patient experience and satisfaction. Adding to this innovation, patientsundergoing cardiac surgery at MHI now have access to SeamlessMD, a free technologyplatform available on smartphones, tablets and computers to help patients and familiesprepare for surgery and stay on track during recovery. The platform provides patients withtimely reminders leading up to surgery, a daily check-in to track their progress after surgery(e.g. symptoms, pain levels), personalized feedback on how to care for themselves and acomprehensive education library with multimedia to help patients recover safely at home.By better guiding patients throughout the entire journey through surgery, SeamlessMD willhelp reduce patient anxiety and make it easier for patients to follow their care plan.SeamlessMD will also enable patients to stay in connect with their care team throughoutthe episode.
